The Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Lens is quite small and very light. It extends significantly when zooming to 300mm, but is very easy to carry around. The 75-300mm focal length is very useful. A wide variety of uses can be found for this range including portraits/people, pets, nature The EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM is the perfect zoom to complement full-frame DSLRs like the EOS 6D. With 2 aspheric and 2 UD elements, the EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM delivers high- quality images with excellent detail throughout the entire zoom range. A 9-blade circular diaphragm delivers beautiful, soft backgrounds. Resolution and 50% MTF are better in both the 28-70mm and the 24-70mm f/2.8L zooms than in the 28mm f/2.8 prime. 50% MTF is better in the 24-70 than in the 28-70. 50mm The 24-70 has better MTF performance than the 28-70 at f/2.8 and f/4. The 50mm f/1.4 prime outperforms the zooms at f/4 and f/5.6. 70mm The EF 28-70mm has better 50% MTF The Canon 300mm f/4 L IS USM does very well in Hummingbird photography for instance! This lens is one of the sharpest lenses there is in that price range. Sharpness is very good at f/4, with a slight improvement at f/5.6. Color and contrast are very good, while blurs are pleasing thanks to the 8 blade aperture. In where I live I can get a second hand EF 16-35 f/4L IS under USD$600, while the RF 14-35 would cost me over USD$1900, which is more than what I paid for the RF 15-35. The closest alternative to the RF 15-35, the EF 16-35 f/2.8L III USM, is a fraction cheaper than the RF alternative. A couple months ago i purchased the Canon EF 24-70 f/4 IS USM lens for using on a 7D. I have the 24-105 L and wondered at getting another lens which only, sorta, duplicated a lens i already have. Now i'm certainly glad i bought it. Its macro ability is wonderful and as i shoot a lot of flowers, bugs, etc., i find it perfect. I've got the chance to buy a used Canon 28-70mm L, year 2000 manufacture. It's in very good condition and seems to be working well. Wondered how it would fare against more modern Canon L lenses on a 5D II or III - thinking of the original 24-70, 24-105 or the upcoming 24-70 f4. Appreciate that the new 24-70 Mk II beats all. The RF 70-200mm is the first pro-grade zoom of its focal length and aperture to sport a collapsing design. It's much shorter, just 5.8 inches long, at 70mm than at 200mm (8.2 inches), so it's ZVXyYn.
